Take a journey with a Sky Guide across the Pioneertown night sky.
The Friends of Pioneertown invite Supporting Members to attend a guided stargazing party. Sky Watcher Star Tours will be giving a tour of the entire seasonal night sky of Pioneertown using one of two 9.25" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes to show you individual stars, binaries, star clusters, galaxies, nebulae, and planets. Sky Watcher guides will share millennia-old stories from around the world. Learn about the science and the mysteries of our universe. See the awe-inspiring celestial phenomena that have kept us asking questions for thousands of years.
This two-hour stargazing experience begins in Pioneertown during astronomical twilight as the last rays of the sun fade entirely behind the horizon and the sky settles into a dark, inky blue studded with thousands of brilliant stars.
Relax in a mini outdoor living room, complete with chairs, blankets, and giant outdoor pillows. Treat yourself to an indulgent snack and cool bottled water while you settle in and get comfortable.
